Steven
Jaffe's childhood was a complex period. Despite being an only
child, he still kept his parents quite busy. Both mom and
dad never quite understood him and even went as far to try
prescription medication to tame his rambunctious spirit. It
only put a dent in his zaniness. Their last resort was piano
lessons, which Steve quickly fell in love with.
By the age of 11, Steve was on the center stage of Carnegie
Hall playing for a sold out crowd his rendition of the soundtrack
to "Funny Girl". Rave reviews followed Steve, but
he was a troubled youth behind closed doors. His cat "Noodles"
passed on that year, and some say that is what drove him over
the edge. While on an American Goodwill Tour of Europe, Steve
sexually groped the Queen of England while in a drunken haze,
and was ordered to seek some help to avoid jail time.
After an extended stint (25 years) in the Center for Psychiatric
Rehabilitation, Steve was stamped "cured" on his
forehead and pushed off into society. After many failed attempts
at employment, Steve took the only job that would hire him.
A psychic on the Miss Cleo 900 line. Bob (the guitarist) found
Steve while calling Miss Cleo's 900 number curious about finding
a keyboardist for the band he had just created. Steve told
him about his keyboarding skills, and both agreed it was fate...
That, or Miss Cleo.
